- Safety Center – a new product to support turnarounds
- Customer: Refineries; Power station
- Task: Safety training for TAR personnel
Customised solutions
The design of the Safety Centre is adapted to the existing conditions - in particular the space, number of participants and duration. The content is customisable and can be designed according to the customer's corporate design guidelines.
The Safety Centre was created in response to the customer's desire to establish structured training for safety instruction for personnel working on the TAR 2025 project, including all external contractors on the construction site. The aim was to communicate the Life Saving Rules in an interactive way and to develop a scalable, quickly assembled and dismantled, and adaptable solution.
To reduce costs, the structure was installed inside an empty, unused hall made available by the customer. The space was divided into boxes separated by panels made of PERI UP cladding with robust polycarbonate. Each station deals with a specific safety topic, which is presented visually to make visitors aware of the respective risks. The content is based on the nine life-saving rules defined by the customer. In addition, the Safety Centre provides general safety guidelines and essential information on TAR 2025.
Each station combines various elements: objects directly from the construction site (some with defects to stimulate discussion), posters, videos and technical demonstrations that encourage interaction. The combined use of several communication tools, the division into small groups, each led by a trainer, and the presence of an interpreter enabled the full involvement of staff who did not speak English or German.
